In addition to coaching and education, we specialise in learn to ride sessions for children. Whether your child is starting out on a balance bike or ready to ride solo, the expert coaches at our children’s cycling lessons provide a safe and supportive environment where young riders can build their confidence and skills – step by step.
Our structured cycling programmes are designed to help children develop essential bike handling skills, boost their independence, and spark a lifelong love of cycling.
What to Expect in Our Children’s Cycling Lessons
Each session includes fun warm-up games, skill-building activities, and plenty of riding practice tailored to your child’s level. Whether they’re learning to balance, pedal, steer, or brake, we keep things engaging and positive throughout. Our coaches are experts in getting children to ride a bike with ease.
Our Progressive Learning Pathway
We believe that every child learns to ride at their own pace and that progress should feel exciting, not pressured. That’s why we’ve developed a structured yet flexible learning pathway that supports young riders from their very first push on a balance bike through to confident, independent riding.
Our approach ensures each child builds solid foundations before moving on to the next stage, helping them grow in skill, confidence, and enjoyment every step of the way.
We’ve created a clear, supportive pathway to help every child progress at their own pace:
- Level 1 – Balance & Control
Master gliding, steering, and stopping using balance bikes or small pedal bikes. - Level 2 – Independent Riding
Develop pedalling skills, control, and stopping techniques – riding solo with confidence. - Level 3 – Sharing Space
Learn to ride in shared environments like parks and cycle paths, building awareness and responsibility. - Level 4 – Road Confidence
Begin to explore basic road safety and independent travel skills in a controlled environment.
Flexible Session Options
We offer a variety of sessions to suit different needs and learning styles:
- Group Sessions – Fun and social learning experiences with peers.
- 1-2-1 or Small Group Coaching – Extra support and focused attention for faster progress.
- Specialist Courses – Including toddler balance bike sessions, birthday party rides and holiday skills camps.
- Our coaches are experts in teaching kids to ride a bike with ease.
