Join the Manchester Cycling Academy Costa Blanca Training Camp, featuring testing training road rides, beautiful scenery and a visit to the 2027 Benidorm Cyclocross World Cup.

We'll be based at the Hotel Cap Negret in Altea, which is just 15 minutes away from Benidorm and Calpe where every winter grand tour riders descend for their winter training camps. Daily rides will visit classic routes such as the Col de Rates and to the historic Castell de Guadalest.

The guests on the Costa Blanca Training Camp will be a mix of young riders getting some winter base miles in before the spring season starts, with parents and other guests mixed in which makes for a fantastic mix of abilities and backgrounds.

Riders aged under sixteen years old are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by, and stay in the same room as a parent.

There will be three levels of rides each day to cater for different abilities.

The date of the 2027 Benidorm Cyclocross World Cup has not yet been confirmed but we understand it will take place on Sunday January 17th so the Costa Blanca Training Camp will begin on Wednesday January 13th until the morning of January 20th and all groups will have a rest day on Sunday January 17th. We will confirm with you in due course.

Itinerary:

• Wednesday January 13th Transfer from Alicante Airport. Afternoon activation ride.
• Thursday January 14th Four hour ride to Benissa and Xavia via Calpe and the Coastal roads
• Friday January 15th 3 Hour ride to Castell de Guadalest or 5 Hour Ride to Castell de Guadalest & Port de Confrides
• Saturday January 16th Race day at Benidorm Cyclocross Festival or Five hour ride to Finestrat & Puerto de Toudons  
• Sunday January 17th Event day at Benidorm Cyclocross World Cup & rest day
• Monday January 18th 4 Hour ride to Col de Rates or five hour ride to Col de Rates & Castell de Castells
• Tuesday January 19th Four hour ride to Puerto de Bernia or Five Hour Ride to Cumbre del Sol & Puerto de Bernia
• Wednesday January 20th Break camp. Final farewells and transfers to Alicante Airport.

We offer three levels of ride each day. The stronger riders will do the full routes above, with the C group doing a shorter loop, often with a couple of coffee stops. E-bikes are most welcome!

Transfers:

We provide one transfer from and to Alicante Airport which will leave Alicante Airport at 11.00 on Wednesday January 13th and return from the Cap Negret at approximately 08.00 on Wednesday January 20th. Transfers include one suitcase and standard sized hand luggage.

Separate transfers can be arranged at extra cost.

You can choose to pay in full, or monthly intervals via our direct debit facility at no extra cost. Once you have paid your deposit, we will be in touch to set up your direct debit payment.

If you would like to have a single room then there will be a supplementary charge of £175 per week.

There is a deposit* of £250 payable per person in order to secure your place with balances due six weeks before the trip takes place. *£100 deposit is available to those who attended in 2026 and who commit to paying the balance over ten months via Direct Debit.

Once you have paid your deposit, we will be in touch regarding setting up the Direct Debit payments.
